Field Service Technician - Raleigh, NC

About the role

NCR Voyix is looking for Field Service Technicians to provide best-in-class service to some of the largest retail customers in the industry. This role acts as a first line response to customers, delivering solutions that build long-term relationships. You will organize, triage customer issues, and handle problems proactively. Training is provided through virtual and hands-on classroom sessions to enable fast learning and impactful contributions.

Responsibilities

• Perform customer installation, maintenance, and service calls promptly and effectively.
• Service electromechanical equipment like self-checkout systems within an assigned territory.
• Perform maintenance, repair, preventive maintenance (PM) work, and system overhauls.

Requirements

• Local candidate to the specific geographic area (Raleigh, NC).
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record that satisfies NCR fleet requirements.
• Basic PC skills, electronic skills, and familiarity with specific hardware and operating systems.
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Prolonged travel with driving several hours per day.
• Flexible shift work, including rotating shifts within set teams (morning, afternoon, evening), weekends, and some holidays.
• Ability to carry and lift tools, parts, and equipment weighing up to 75 lbs. without assistance, up to 150 lbs. with assistance.
• Physical ability to bend, squat, walk, stand, sit, reach, and work with hands, including repetitively grasping and manipulating objects of varying sizes.
• Willingness to be trained on and operate small-scale scissor lifts in retail environments to service or replace networking equipment such as access points or switches.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with large servers, mainframe computers, and imaging software.
• A+ Certification, CompTIA, or N+ Certification.
• One or more years of related experience.

Pay

Hourly pay range: $17.00 to $19.00, depending on location and experience. Overtime available at time and a half.
