Field Service Technician - Pump & Motor

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform field testing, inspection, equipment startups, and operating performance evaluations on centrifugal and positive displacement pumps.
  • Replace packing, mechanical seals, bearings, and components in pumps, motors, blowers, generators, and related equipment.
  • C Conduct precision alignment of motors and pumps.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, disassemble, and repair rotating equipment including pumps, motors, and mechanical systems.
  • Evaluate pump systems to determine cause of failure, equipment condition, and necessary repairs.
  • Assist with removal and reinstallation of pumps and equipment at customer sites.
  • Prioritize preventative and predictive maintenance on customer equipment.
  • Document detailed information on work orders including pump data, motor data, failure analysis, required parts, and service notes.

Qualifications

  • E Experience troubleshooting and repairing pumps, motors, or rotating equipment preferred.
  • M Must be able to troubleshoot pumps and motors in the field.
  • A Ability to replace seals, bearings, packing, and mechanical components.
  • K Familiarity with preventative maintenance and field service repair processes.
  • O Knowledge of OSHA job site safety requirements.
  • V Valid driver’s license required for fieldbased work.
  • M Mandatory preemployment drug screening.
  • S Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
  • I Ability to work independently at customer sites.
  • G Excellent documentation and communication skills.
  • C Professional, reliable, and customer service oriented.
