Field Service Technician (Pittsburgh, PA)

HIAB facility is located in Levittown, PA; all field service work will be conducted in the Pittsburgh, PA and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, perform service, troubleshoot (preventive maintenance, safety checks, corrective actions, upgrades, and refurbishment) on equipment including forklifts, knuckle boom cranes, loaders, liftgates, hooklifts, skiploaders, and hoists in line with manager’s instructions
• Follow applicable safety rules, agreed working practices, and environmental requirements
• Stay up to date with technical developments as shown in internal service bulletins and complete technical courses as instructed by the District Service Manager
• Respond to customer queries and concerns to maximize customer satisfaction and follow Hiab Customer Satisfaction Guidelines
• Maintain adequate records, documentation, and submit daily reports in the specified format
• Recognize sales opportunities and communicate them to the District Service Manager
• Coach and tutor junior colleagues and trainees as necessary
• Conduct yourself in a way that promotes a positive image of the Hiab brand and follow rules of the Quality System

Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain a 1-year DOT Medical Card
• Valid driver’s license with no more than one moving violation in the last year or two violations within a two-year time frame (all violations will be reviewed)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical operations experience
• Appropriate diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Own required tools
• Know, understand, and comply with Hiab USA, Inc. Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions
• 100% travel required
