Field Service Technician, Mechanical, Gravure - Coating Laminating

Key Skills & Attributes

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the packaging industry or finishing converting industry
• Background in Mechanical engineering
• Diagnosing faults and making recommendations in customer environment
• Technical knowledge (variable frequency drives, motors, basic AC/DC)
• OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) experience

Principle Responsibilities

• Machine Service (electrical & mechanical), including the repair and installation of new machines, relocation of existing equipment
• Customer training
• Preventative maintenance
• Ordering parts necessary to perform installations and repairs
• Troubleshooting problems and proactively recommending the necessary service and maintenance programs

Requirements

• 90% TRAVEL REQUIRED – Candidates must have flexibility to travel extensively throughout the US and Canada
• Ideal candidate located within 1 hour from a major international airport

Qualifications

• Education: Technical school or college related to mechanical engineering

Pay

In good faith and in alignment with current market data, the base salary for this position is estimated to range between $80,000 and $87,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

The schedule is flexible but includes significant travel requirements.
