Field Service Technician Level 3A

About the role

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, specifically with combustion engines and power generation equipment. This role involves a mix of routine maintenance, emergency repairs, and sometimes complex installations.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service
• Troubleshoot and repair engine and electrical issues on power generation equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance and start-ups on generators
• Handle warranty work and perform inspections
• Sync paperwork and schedule updates using a mobile technician application
• Maintain parts inventory for the service truck
• Be available 24/7 for emergencies

Requirements

• Experience with diesel, natural gas, or propane engines
• Understanding of electricity and power systems
• Knowledge of 120/240v single phase and 277/480v three phase power
• Experience with DC controls ranging from 12v to 24v
• Ability to operate a service truck safely
• Proficiency with a laptop and control software

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• First aid and CPR certification
