Field Service Technician - IVA III

Responsibilities

• Support Field Service Technician - IVA I & II employees through mentoring and on-the-job (OJT) training
• Performs final quality inspection of valve and/or equipment
• Potentially assumes role as Field Supervisor
• Repairs, services, maintains, removes, troubleshoots, inspects, and replaces GGC style valves
• Ensures all products repaired/assembled meet quality standards
• Collects data and documents for customer review, billing records, and expense reporting
• Assumes responsibility and handles multiple tasks under potentially stressful and hazardous conditions
• Adheres to all policies and procedures
• Operates motor vehicle as required
• Attends job and safety training as necessary or required

Qualifications

• Education & Experience: HS Education or GED Equivalent, associates degree preferred; 5+ years of industry experience, minimum of 3-5 years of gate, globe, and check valve experience
• Skills & Abilities: Meets IVA Technician I & II qualifications and requirements, proficient in IVA Technician I & II responsibilities, completed QC assessment, experienced trainer of IVA Technicians, working knowledge and proficiency of leading manufacturer GGC valve lines, basic OSHA and TWIC card (if required), ability to manage multiple tasks within a fast-paced environment, effective communication with all levels of management, customers, and other employees, ability to prepare detailed reports and correspondence, demonstrated “can do” attitude and excellent customer service skills, customer driven/focused, team oriented and willing to lead others, high energy, detail oriented, strong safety record and knowledge of safety rules and practices, strong history of dependability and reliability, willing and able to lift and work with personal protective equipment, including emergency breathing apparatus, essential physical functions as described
