Field Service Technician II– Solar BESS

About the role

The Field Service Technician II - Solar BESS- Traveler will assist senior Field Service Technicians with operating and maintaining utility scale solar facilities. This work includes preventative and corrective maintenance of on-site assets such as solar panels, trackers, and power inverters.

Requirements

• Takes direction from senior site personnel.
• Sets positive example for junior technicians.
• Troubleshoots low voltage DC power systems.
• Troubleshoots low voltage and medium voltage AC power systems.
• Conducts preventative maintenance on AC and DC power systems.
• Uses hand tools effectively and appropriately.
• Utilizes a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Maintains inventory of spare parts and consumables.
• Follows site safety plan and safe work practices.
• Adheres to proper Lock-out-tag-out (LOTO) practices and procedures.
• Interfaces with project stakeholders (owners, equipment manufacturers, etc.).
• Interfaces with project subcontractors.
• Represents RES in professional manner to project stakeholders.
• Operates RES company vehicles, including trucks, in accordance with state and federal laws and RES policies.
• Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.
