Responsibilities
- Conduct all work in a safe manner, adhering to safety, environmental, and contamination control policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Wear proper personal protective equipment and attend required technician training classes.
- Maintain a necessary set of tools to diagnose, disassemble, and assemble components according to manufacturer’s specifications.
- Diagnose and perform repairs on customer or company-owned equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs.
- Work neatly and orderly, continuously improving work methods, areas, and safety standards.
- Inspect components to maximize parts reuse and control repair costs.
- Complete required documentation using appropriate software to record repairs and account for repair times.
- Monitor job expenses versus repair estimates, ensuring supervisors are aware of cost overruns before job completion.
- Maintain a positive attitude, support team efforts, and set a standard for others to follow.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time while maintaining safety and quality expectations.
- Train and/or mentor others in the department.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3-4 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to comprehend written material and communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Successful completion of all required training to be designated as a Service Field Tech II.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in computer use, Microsoft Office products, and relevant dealer software programs.

Physical Demands
- Frequently (3-6 hours/day): Climbing, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, feeling, fingering, grasping, repetitive motion, talking, hearing, pushing/pulling/lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Occasionally (up to 3 hours/day): Balancing, stooping, pushing/pulling/lifting over 50 lbs., exposure to extreme cold, inside conditions, oils, air particulates/contaminants.
- Constantly (6-8 hours/day): Sitting, outside environmental conditions, extreme heat, noise, vibration, hazards, atmospheric conditions (fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, poor ventilation).
