About the role
Conducts all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to safety, environmental, and contamination control policies. Maintains tools required for diagnosing, disassembling, and assembling components to manufacturer’s specifications. Performs repairs on customer or company-owned equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting and maintenance. Completes documentation using appropriate software and monitors job expenses to control repair costs.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair equipment to manufacturer’s specifications.
- Inspect components to maximize parts reuse and control repair costs.
- Complete required documentation for repairs and track repair times.
- Monitor job expenses versus estimates and notify supervisor of cost overruns.
- Maintain a neat, orderly, and safe work area while improving work methods.
- Train and mentor others in the department.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3-4 years of relevant experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Completion of all required training curriculum for Service Field Tech II.
- Ability to comprehend written material and communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Proficient in computer use, Microsoft Office, and relevant dealer software (desired but not required).
- Willingness to update knowledge through frequent re-training (job requirements change often).
