Field Service Technician II Davenham
What Will You Do?
- Execute System Startup checklists at customer sites.
- Program and test 3rd party meters on-site.
- Complete startup certification reports and meter commissioning reports using provided templates.
- Professionally interact with customers, contractors, and end users.
- Diagnose and repair on-site product issues.
- Train and mentor internal and 3rd party technicians on service procedures.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to rent a vehicle.
- Ability to obtain government-mandated security clearances.
- Valid passport.
- Ability to obtain a company credit card.
- Experience using power and electrical testing tools.
- Advanced knowledge of electrical components and meters.
- Willingness to complete required training and certification programs.
- Ability to stay on-site for multiple months at a time.
- Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Superior attention to detail. Basic electrical knowledge. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Service oriented mindset and customer focus. Effective critical thinking and troubleshooting skills. Basic understanding of network communication protocols (Telnet, SNMP, BACnet, etc.). Ability to consistently present and conduct oneself professionally as a Starline representative. Ability to travel via air and vehicle to customer sites. Willingness to work extended on site assignments (multi month stays). Willingness to train and support internal staff and external partners.
Travel Requirements
- Travel up to 90%, including both domestic and occasional international assignments.
- Extended deployments requiring technicians to remain on-site for multi-month periods.
- Nightmare stays required, often for extended durations.
- Ability to work long hours on customer job sites as needed.
