Field Service Technician I
The Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) Operation is the cornerstone of Leidos’ comprehensive suite of fully-integrated security solutions for aviation, ports, borders, and critical infrastructure customers around the world. Travel to various customer sites domestically and internationally is required.
SES is comprised of three divisions to align with customer missions: Aviation Solutions, Ports & Borders, and Global Services.
Responsibilities
- Perform customer support activities involving the installation, modification, and repair of complex equipment and systems.
- Conduct on-site installation and testing of equipment to ensure proper working order, isolate start-up malfunctions, and take corrective action.
- Complete ad-hoc and predetermined work assignments following established guidelines, procedures, and policies.
- Manage resources, maintain schedules, and coordinate repair activities in priority sequence to adhere to contractual service level agreements (SLAs).
- Operate in a 24/7 customer environment requiring immediate response times (on-shift or after-hours on-call) and travel to sites, including long-distance driving.
- Accept and update work orders in CRM systems such as Salesforce, Maximo, and GURU.
- Work safely and follow safety precautions in extreme environments (temperature, humidity, noise, confined spaces) around dangerous industrial equipment.
- Perform physical tasks including frequent bending, stooping, twisting, and working in unusual positions requiring full body mobility.
- Lift/carry up to 50 lbs, push/pull up to 200 lbs, and move/manipulate equipment weighing up to 1000 lbs with assistance from carts, hoists, davit cranes, pallet jacks, or other devices.
Requirements
- Related trade experience (electrical, electronic, mechanical) or military training (electrical, mechanical, electronics). Equivalent experience may include 2 years in an electrical or mechanical field service role.
- Computer literacy with competency in MS Office Suite and aptitude for learning specialized software programs.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience troubleshooting and field repairing electrical and electronic systems and equipment.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong orientation for customer focus and teamwork.
- Responsiveness to all customer issues at all times.
- Willingness and ability to travel at short notice.
- Ability to pass an in-depth background check (TSA eQIP).

Pay
Pay Range: $48,100.00 - $86,950.00. The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
