Field Service Technician I

SES is organized into three divisions aligned with customer missions: Aviation Solutions, Ports & Borders, and Global Services.

Responsibilities

• Perform customer support activities involving the installation, modification, and repair of complex equipment and systems.
• Conduct on-site installation and testing of equipment to ensure proper working order; isolate start-up malfunctions and take corrective action.
• Execute ad-hoc and predetermined work assignments following established guidelines, procedures, and policies.
• Manage resources, maintain schedules, and coordinate repair activities in priority sequence to adhere to contractual service level agreements (SLAs).
• Operate in a 24/7 customer environment requiring immediate response (on-shift or after-hours on-call) and travel long distances to sites.
• Accept and update work orders in CRM systems such as Salesforce, Maximo, and GURU.
• Work on semi-routine assignments where the ability to recognize deviations from accepted practice is required.

Requirements

• Related trade experience (electrical, electronic, mechanical) or military training (electrical, mechanical, electronics). Equivalent experience may include 2 years in an electrical or mechanical field service role.
• Computer literacy with competency in MS Office Suite and aptitude for learning specialized software programs.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience troubleshooting and field-repairing electrical and electronic systems and equipment.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong customer-focused, team-oriented mindset.
• Responsiveness to all customer issues at all times; willingness and ability to travel at short notice.
• Ability to pass an in-depth background check (TSA eQIP).
• Physical ability to lift/carry 50 lbs, push/pull 200 lbs, and move/manipulate equipment up to 1,000 lbs using carts, hoists, davit cranes, pallet jacks, or other devices.
• Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, turning, and working in unusual positions requiring full body mobility.
• Ability to work safely and follow safety precautions in extreme environments (temperature, humidity, noise, confined spaces) around dangerous industrial equipment.

Pay

Pay Range: $48,100.00 - $86,950.00. The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, market data, applicable bargaining agreements, or other legal requirements.
