About the Role
As a Field Service Technician at Crane Payment Innovations (CPI), you’ll service, upgrade, and perform preventative maintenance on electromechanical equipment—such as coin and currency devices, ATMs, software, and specialized office products—at client sites across the Tampa/Lakewood/Sarasota area. You’ll collaborate with branch sales and service teams to ensure client satisfaction and address service requests within contract response times.
Responsibilities
- Service, upgrade, and perform preventative maintenance on CPI’s electromechanical equipment.
- Travel daily to client sites (90% local, 10% overnight as needed), including long drives depending on territory.
- Work with branch teams to meet client needs and resolve service requests within specified response times.
- Cover extended hours and on-call duty where applicable.
- Maintain a balanced inventory of vehicle stock parts and ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of the company-issued vehicle.
- Safeguard company assets, including tablets and mobile phones.
- Perform all other assigned duties.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in a technical or field service role.
- Impeccable integrity and ability to gain access to highly secured environments (occupational licenses may be required).
- Strong electromechanical aptitude.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-first attitude.
- Personable, approachable, and able to collaborate at all levels.
- Strong attention to detail, able to prioritize and proof your own work.
- Proficient in iOS, MS Office, and Windows OS.
- Ability to work independently, set and track goals, and meet deadlines proactively.
Physical Requirements
- Available for periodic travel to the corporate office in Mt. Prospect, IL, for training.
- Able to lift, push, or carry a minimum of 50 pounds (e.g., money-counting machines and parts).
- Kneeling, bending, twisting, lifting, and squatting up to 60% of the time to service equipment.
- Hand and wrist dexterity for tasks like turning screwdrivers and placing parts.
- Phone or desk work (10% of the time) for computer tasks, bench repairs, parts stocking, and scheduling.
- Ability to stand for long periods (up to 75% of the time) while servicing equipment.

Pay
$25.00 to $25.50 per hour, plus a quarterly Technician Incentive Compensation Plan.
