Field Service Technician - Greenville

About the role

Empower Rental Group is hiring a Field Service Diesel Technician in Greenville, SC. We are a family of local equipment rental providers across the Southeastern US that started with 3 locations in 2021 and now have over 36 locations. We offer a comprehensive benefits package to full-time employees.

Responsibilities

• Drive to and from customer worksites.
• Assists customers with loading and unloading fleet orders.
• Provide exceptional customer support and service during field visits.
• Assists customers with questions/customer service as applicable.
• Assists other mechanics with tasks such as lifting or moving heavy objects.
• May perform repairs on the small fleet.
• Repair and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel equipment.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
• Repair and maintain a variety of complex equipment and fleet.
• Completes inspections.
• Completes any type of work with supervision.
• Completes preventative maintenance such as changing filters, checking fluids, and filling tires.
• Maintains a safe work environment.
• Assists in driving a continuous improvement strategy within the business to result in ongoing incremental gains in quality and efficiency.
• Diagnostics complex issues with heavy equipment powertrain, and hydraulic and electrical systems using a computer analyzer and traditional troubleshooting methods.
• Completes repairs on company vehicles.
• Maintains a safe work environment.
• Demonstrates behaviors aligned with the Company’s Core Values at all times.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience Field Service Mechanic.
• A Valid Driver’s License and the Ability to Drive Company Vehicles per Insurance Requirements may be required on a case-by-case basis, depending on branch needs.
• Excellent Customer Service Skills – for both internal and external customers.
• Able to work independently, use good judgment and professionalism with customers.
• Exhibits average computer skills.
• Completes rental equipment preparation by delivery date.
• Maintains a ready line.
• Achieves quality standards.
• Must have own basic tools.
