Key Responsibilities
- Perform on-site troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment, including transformers, circuit breakers, LV/MV switchgear, and PLC controls.
- Conduct system diagnostics and address technical issues to ensure minimal downtime and efficient system operation.
- Support system startups and commissioning, ensuring systems are operational and meet customer specifications.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers during service visits, resolving technical issues and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Provide basic training to customers on system operation and basic maintenance.
- Document service activities, including providing test reports and feedback on system performance.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Certifications: NFPA 70E, OSHA 30, or other relevant technical certifications are a plus.
- Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a field service technician, with a focus on power systems, electrical equipment, or industrial controls.
- Skills: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with field service management software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Other Requirements: Willingness and ability to travel frequently, with overnight stays to visit customer sites and JDC locations across the country. A valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Strong commitment to safety and customer satisfaction. Familiarity with industry-standard test equipment (e.g., multimeters, breaker test sets).
