About the role
The Senior Field Service Technician (FST) is a field-based position responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining chemical dispensing equipment and other commercial foodservice or laundry operation equipment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional service to ensure customer retention and superior customer satisfaction.
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain chemical dispensing equipment and other commercial foodservice or laundry operation equipment.
- Work independently and manage tasks efficiently within a 5-day work week schedule, including occasional 12-hour shifts, weekends, and night shifts.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, standing, sitting, walking, twisting, bending, kneeling, squatting, crawling, reaching, operating a computer keyboard, and using a cell phone.
- Operate a motor vehicle for approximately 30% of the day, ensuring safe travel in city, rural, and expressway conditions.
- Work in extreme temperatures, including hot and cold environments, and adhere to occupational health and safety requirements.
- Conduct business, service, and maintenance activities at customer sites, adhering to local laws and regulations.
Requirements
- A great work ethic and willingness to learn new skills with provided training.
- A basic understanding in electronics, plumbing, maintenance, or mechanical systems with the ability to troubleshoot with root cause analysis.
- Moderate working knowledge of appropriate tools, data, implements, and service needs.
- Proficient in laptop and cell phone technology, including Salesforce, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to drive safely for approximately 30% of the day.
- Live in a specified city and be eligible to be onsite at customer locations.
- Occasional on-call coverage, including weekends, holidays, and night shifts.
Qualifications
- Basic understanding in electronics, plumbing, maintenance, or mechanical systems.
- Moderate working knowledge of appropriate tools, data, implements, and service needs.
