Field Service Technician (Douglas County)
About the role
We are seeking a Field Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will respond to service calls for clients who need repair on their office technology equipment. You will travel to client locations, diagnose problems, and make necessary repairs on copiers or printers. Additionally, you will inspect machines, perform routine and preventative maintenance, and replace parts nearing expiration. If immediate repair isn’t possible, you will communicate the status to the client, order parts, and schedule a return visit.
You will be provided with uniform shirts, a laptop, a smart phone allowance, and a company vehicle. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate car stock and inventory count.
Responsibilities
- Travel to client locations to diagnose and repair office technology equipment (copiers, printers).
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on machines.
- Replace parts nearing expiration.
- Communicate repair status to clients and schedule follow-up visits if needed.
- Maintain accurate inventory and car stock for the company vehicle.
Requirements
- Strong customer service skills.
- Training through employment or a technical college in automotive repair, computer repair, aviation, or a similar field is preferred; personal experience is also considered.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
- Clean driving history with no DUI convictions or reckless driving infractions in the past 5 years.
- Must be willing to submit to a criminal background check.
- Clean-cut appearance; no offensive tattoos permitted, and excessive tattoos may require covering.
- Must have parking available to take a company vehicle home daily.
Pay
Competitive hourly rate of $20–$25 based on experience, plus a bonus program.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
