About the role

John Deere Field Service Technicians are needed to service and repair John Deere Wheel Loaders, Backhoes, Motor Graders, Excavators, Crawler Dozers, Articulated Dump Trucks, and other construction and agricultural equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately diagnose and repair John Deere Construction and Forestry equipment as well as other various brands of equipment supported by Yellowhouse Machinery in the field.
  • Rebuild or replace various types of powertrain and hydraulic components including engines, transmissions, axles, control valves, hydraulic pumps etc.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times while on duty and at customer jobsites.
  • Promote and adhere to company policy at all times with emphasis on a team mentality.
  • Promote customer service at all times throughout the organization.
  • Align with safety compliance per company policy as well as customer specific safety compliance if required at customer job sites.
  • Maintain a clean work environment and properly care for company vehicle, and specialty tools provided by the company.
  • Participate in a positive and relationship building work environment alongside coworkers in Service, Sales, and Parts departments.
  • Ensure that company’s reputation and image in the community is consistent with company Core Values.
  • Execute other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Basic computer skills to efficiently utilize service and parts support programs.
  • Ability to maintain and create accurate and comprehensive service reports on tasks performed during service or repair.
  • Maintain a clean driving record to operate company vehicles.
  • Must have advanced knowledge of troubleshooting electrical, hydraulics and power train components.
  • Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
  • Willingness to participate in company paid training as required.
  • Must possess personal hand and pneumatic tools to perform diagnostic, service and repair work on heavy equipment.
  • Must be self-driven and organized and can perform efficiently while working independently.
