About the role

This field-based role is ideal for technicians who enjoy hands-on work, travel, and seeing the direct impact of their efforts on construction sites. As a Field Service Technician, you’ll install, support, and optimize cutting-edge Topcon Machine Control systems, working directly with contractors and equipment operators. Responsibilities

  • Install and service Topcon Machine Control systems on:
    • Dozers
    • Motor Graders
    • Excavators
    • Skid Steers
    • Compactors
    • Pavers and Curb Machines
  • Troubleshoot complex hardware, software, hydraulic, and electronic systems to improve machine accuracy and performance
  • Research and diagnose technical issues to identify effective solutions
  • Provide pre- and post-sale technical support for customers and sales teams via:
    • On-site visits
    • Phone
    • Email
    • Remote support tools
  • Represent the company professionally at customer job sites and build long-term relationships
  • Work outdoors in varied conditions: rain, heat, and cold are part of the job

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
  • Comfort troubleshooting electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic systems
  • Customer-first mindset with strong communication skills
  • Quick learner who enjoys mastering new technology
  • Intermediate computer skills (software navigation, diagnostics, documentation)
  • Physically capable of:
    • Climbing onto large equipment
    • Lifting up to 75 pounds
  • Willingness to travel as needed (travel fluctuates based on business demands)
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or trade school preferred
  • Field experience or prior work with:
    • Heavy equipment
    • Construction machinery
    • Automotive, diesel, electrical, or mechanical systems
  • Experience with machine control installations is a plus but not required
  • Willingness and aptitude to learn heavy equipment operation and advanced technology

Pay

Expected Base Pay Range: $28.00 to $34.00 hourly.
