About the role
We're hiring a full-time Field Service Technician to join our team in Ann Arbor, reporting to the Operations Manager. This role requires a flexible start time between 7am and 8am, and weekend availability is required. You will perform repairs addressing electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or construction-related issues, provide on-the-job support to other technicians, prioritize daily tasks, and assist with training and onboarding new technicians.
The base hourly rate for this position is $23.80 - $27.37 per hour, depending on applicable experience and skills.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the working condition of Throne Units by troubleshooting, identifying, and repairing issues on-site as they arise.
- Prioritize and assign tasks to yourself and other field service technicians.
- Interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings to guide installations, repairs, and upgrades.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including documentation of repairs, replacements, and inspections.
- Update and maintain accuracy of our inventory system.
- Keep fleet vehicles clean and organized.
- Organize and maintain the warehouse environment.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in plumbing, electrical work, construction basics, or remodeling.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and diagrams.
- Demonstrated ability to use tools and equipment properly and safely.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
- Knowledge of testing procedures for electrical components, including voltage, continuity, and current tests.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work on weekends or outside of regular business hours as needed.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Can-do attitude and passion for Throne's mission.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating a forklift, ideally in outdoor environments.
- Certification or license in plumbing, electrical work, or a related field.
- Experience working with smart technologies or IoT (Internet of Things) devices.
- Prior experience in the portable sanitation industry.
