This is a remote role based in Houston, TX. The Field Service Technician will interface regularly with plant management, batch plant operators, concrete mixer truck drivers, and truck maintenance management and mechanics. Based at home, the candidate will spend approximately 80% of their time as the only Verifi employee at customer sites, requiring independent work. Schedule flexibility is essential, as field visits may be scheduled late at night and/or very early in the morning.
This role is part of a rapidly changing environment due to acquisition by SGO and merger efforts with the Chryso+GCP businesses. It requires a high level of flexibility and critical thinking, dealing with complexities in data science, patent law, and industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze system performance reports to identify problem areas and develop resolutions.
- Coordinate problem resolution with other employees, serving as the local liaison and first point of contact for customers.
- Perform installation, preventive and scheduled maintenance, calibration, and emergency/service repairs on Verifi admixture dispensing equipment (on truck).
- Assist Field Sales Representatives in winning and maintaining customer contracts by building and sustaining professional relationships.
- Understand the impact of customer satisfaction on achieving corporate goals.
Requirements
- High School Diploma (Associate’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical focus preferred).
- Broad knowledge of computer systems configuration, mechanical systems, pneumatic systems, 12/24 volt DC electrical systems, and hydraulic system principles.
- Ability to learn new technology and processes quickly.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with colleagues and customers.
- Organized and detail-oriented, particularly in maintaining records.
- Hands-on electro-mechanical aptitude.
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, meters, and gauges.
- Experience in field service-type work.
- Working knowledge of the Ready Mix Concrete industry.
- Able to lift 50 pounds.
- Flexible work hours and ability to travel overnight.
- Ability to respond to short-notice project work and emergency service calls.

Pay
The national pay range for this position is $52,500 - $82,500 per year, with base pay varying by geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The role is also eligible for an annual bonus, with a targeted bonus amount of 8% of base salary based on company and individual performance. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) is $56,700 to $89,100. Bonus payments are variable and not guaranteed.
