Responsibilities
The Field Service Technician will support pipeline integrity by operating ROSEN’s in-line inspection (ILI) tools across North America. This role involves tool operation, maintenance, and data validation on-site while ensuring safety, quality, and exceptional customer service.
- Operate ROSEN’s in-line inspection equipment in the field.
- Launch and receive ILI tools at job sites following quality control procedures.
- Perform basic maintenance on ILI tools, including replacing parts (e.g., polyurethane cups, batteries, sensors, cables).
- Conduct HSE risk assessments and ensure compliance with safety guidelines.
- Review customer operational procedures for safe execution of inspections.
- Download and validate survey data on-site for quality and completeness.
- Verify tool capability against pipeline and run conditions.
- Communicate project status and escalate issues to WGL, PM, or Sr. FST as needed.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
- Share lessons learned and best practices within the team.
- Demonstrate leadership through survey ownership and team motivation.
- Maintain a flexible schedule and adapt to harsh field conditions.
- Uphold a protection mindset for environment, stakeholders, and quality standards.
- Identify and communicate client concerns or opportunities to WGLs and PMs.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 280 lbs with assistance from a start height of 9 inches to an end height of 49 inches from the floor up to 1 time per hour.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 280 lbs with assistance from a start height of 9 inches to an end height of 30 inches and transport it up to 50 feet up to 1 time per hour.
- Must be able to push/pull up to 95 lbs. horizontally through a 24-inch diameter opening located 30 inches from the ground up to 1 time per hour.
- Must be able to assume a static kneeling posture at floor level for up to 5 minutes, up to 10 times per hour.
- Must be able to assume a repetitive squatting posture up to 50 times per hour.
- Must be able to walk continuously while standing upright for 50 feet forward and 50 feet backward, 4 times per hour.
- Must be able to walk continuously while bent at the waist for 50 feet forward and 50 feet backward, 2 times per hour.
- Must be able to ascend and descend a 48-foot ladder while carrying up to 5 lbs., 1 time per hour.
- Must be able to ascend and descend a 7-inch step up to 86 times per hour.
- Must be able to enter and exit through a 24-inch opening located 30 inches from the floor, 2 times per hour.
- Must be able to walk 500 feet on a 6-inch wide surface, 2 times per hour.
- Must be able to walk 500 feet on uneven surfaces, 2 times per hour.
Qualifications
- Must hold a valid Driver’s License
- TWIC (transportation workers identification credentials) card a plus
- Willingness to travel more than 80% of the time throughout the year
- Able to follow established HSE and DOT procedures
- Able to work individually, as well as in a team environment with minimum supervision
- Organization and Time Management skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.

Schedule
This position will require driving to client sites, meetings, while travelling for business on behalf of ROSEN, or other ROSEN locations. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle in accordance with all applicable traffic laws and company policies.
