About the role

The Field Service Technician supports Pro Spot Equipment, installing, repairing, and maintaining client equipment. They also provide technical support, educate users on equipment usage, and collaborate with various departments to resolve customer inquiries.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance, installations, and upgrades on Pro Spot equipment.
  • Work independently at customer locations or provide telephone support to end-users.
  • Collaborate with customer service, shipping, and accounting departments to efficiently resolve customers' inquiries.
  • Use the mobile office setting and equipment to interact with clients and management teams.
  • Upgrade equipment, including software, hardware, and data telecommunications network equipment.
  • Maintain a parts inventory and promptly return defective parts.
  • Work with the Technical Services Manager on equipment/design changes and creating instructions for field replacements/fixes.
  • Make equipment recommendations to customers and order entries, as needed.
  • Create reports of customer service calls and weekly activities.
  • Safely perform all job functions, adhering to safety guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Follow Pro Spot corporate accounts service quote procedures, including NO PO, NO PAY, and starting work without a ticket number from Caliber.
  • Participate in trade shows by setting up, tearing down, working the show floor, and maintaining the Pro Spot Van.

Requirements

  • Great mechanical aptitude.
  • Basic electrical knowledge.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Able to read and understand equipment manuals.
  • Pass associated tests for each piece of equipment covered during training.
  • Communicate in English fluently (reading, writing, and speaking).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and initiative-taking.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Good communication skills to interact with both internal and external customers.
