The Position

PackSmart is a growing packaging equipment and supply company seeking a General Service Technician to perform a wide range of service duties. The ideal candidate should have 2+ years of service repair experience. Compensation is $25-35/hour, commensurate with experience.

Overview of the Role

As a PackSmart Service Technician, you will support customers by performing on-site repairs to their packaging equipment, assisting with in-house repairs, participating in installations and demos to support machine sales, and completing planned maintenance.

Requirements

Demonstrate the ability to repair and troubleshoot equipment issues
Knowledge of mechanical and electrical concepts (High & Low Voltages)
Understand basic principles of Sensors, Switches, Relays, Servos, & PLC’s
Ability to work in challenging and time-sensitive situations
1-3 years in a maintenance setting or trade school degree/certificate
Valid driver’s license (Company vehicle provided)

Responsibilities

Complete daily field service repairs on customers’ packaging equipment
Assist with in-house repairs and complete large machine installation projects
Perform planned maintenance on customers’ equipment
Document service visits, including service performed, service time, travel time, and parts required
Work directly with customers to resolve equipment issues
Obtain parts information and submit part requests to Service Coordinator
Maintain On-site Demo Equipment

Pay

$25-35/hour, commensurate with experience

Schedule

A 40-hour work week, with optional overtime and up to 8 hours of driving daily using company vehicles, less than 5% overnight travel, and working from home daily.
