Pay

  • Competitive hourly pay rate range of $20-35/hr depending on experience, skills and qualifications
  • Premium pay for travel and field work on top of hourly rate
  • Daily per diem allowance while travelling

About the role

If you are a valve technician who enjoys hands-on field work, solving mechanical problems on-site, and taking pride in getting critical equipment back into service, this role is for you. We are looking for a Field Service Valve Technician to support valve repair and service work in the field and in the shop.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspection, teardown, repair, assembly, calibration, and testing of valves and actuators
  • Diagnose failures and recommend the proper repair scope
  • Complete field service work safely and ensure repairs meet applicable code and customer requirements
  • Document repair, testing, and service activity in real time using photos, reports, and work order records
  • Maintain field service equipment, tooling, trucks, and trailers in ready-to-work condition
  • Support inventory, final inspection, packaging, shipping, and general shop operations
  • Help maintain strong housekeeping, 5S, and safety standards

Requirements

  • Mechanical associate degree or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
  • Experience with valve repair, testing, troubleshooting, or rotating/mechanical equipment preferred
  • Ability to work independently in the field and as part of a team
  • Good communication and computer skills, including Microsoft 365
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and off-hours as needed
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs. and work in physically demanding field and shop environments
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States
