Job Description
As a hygiene expert at Meritech, you will:
- Review design specifications to understand the scope, requirements, and function of our products.
- Travel to client locations to perform various diagnostic and preventative routines.
- Conduct testing to ensure products perform according to user requirements and within established guidelines.
- Ensure products meet company and customer quality and product integrity requirements.
- Identify, log, and correct malfunctions or defects in product performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with equipment, devices, or products.
- Aid in root cause analysis for product defects in the field and implement corrective action for products.
- Use various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety laws, regulations, and best practices, including protective equipment where required.
- Inventory tools, parts, and supplies periodically and communicate needs to supervisor in a timely fashion.
Job Requirements
- Experienced in machine maintenance (2+ years preferred).
- Familiar with basic plumbing, mechanical, and electrical operations.
- Willing and able to travel regularly for work, up to 80% of the time.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as necessary to complete logs or records.
- Detail-oriented and consistent.
- Able to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
- A team player and able to effectively operate in group environment.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Goal-oriented and able to manage time and meet specific deadlines.
- Able to work with hand tools, including drills, saws, and grinders on occasion.
- Proficient in simple English reading, writing, and basic mathematics, (high school diploma or GED equivalent).
- Able to regularly perform the following physical requirements, with or without accommodations:
- Frequently: Prolonged periods of standing, sitting, leaning, crouching, and reaching to perform repetitive tasks.
- Frequently: Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to evaluate, test, and modify equipment with or without hand tools as needed.
- Frequently: Ability to differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and electronic components.
- Frequently: Must be able to crouch, bend, reach, and lean to inspect equipment.
- Frequently: Carry, lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Frequently: Prolonged periods of standing and moving about in various client environments.
