Field Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer machines onsite to diagnose problems and independently recommend solutions through service or equipment sales
• Survey customer machines to establish baseline efficiencies, analyze potential productivity gains and savings, present findings, and implement solutions independently
• Install new machines according to manufacturer installation standards
• Collaborate with National Market Manager(s) to propose new machines to existing and new customers
• Ensure equipment is in safe working condition after repairs are completed
• Provide monthly reporting of activities and billings to the National Automation Service Manager
• Attend service trainings to stay current with the latest technologies and offerings
• Work collaboratively within a team environment alongside other regional technicians

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; Technical Degree in Electronics preferred
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record required
• Five years of experience in electrical work within a manufacturing environment preferred
• Welding or cutting experience is an advantage
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency with computers or PC applications
• Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50%, including occasional overnight or weeklong trips
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
