Field Service Technician

We are looking for a talented Field Service Technician to lead on-site diagnostics, precision repairs, and overhauls of industrial rotating equipment. Responsibilities

• Mechanical Craft Precision Assembly & Alignment: Lead the installation and removal of AC/DC motors and coupled equipment; perform laser alignments and set critical air gaps and mechanical seals to OEM specifications.
• Detailed Mechanical Inspections: Utilize precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators) to diagnose wear, verify tolerances, and ensure equipment integrity.
• Advanced Overhauls: Replace sleeve and anti-friction bearings, gearboxes and torque-critical components using specialized tooling and specs.
• Technical Testing: Perform essential diagnostic tests using portable electronic equipment (Megger®, PdMA MCE, Multimeter, and DLRO) to ensure system reliability.
• Specialized Maintenance: Clean and prep electro-mechanical equipment utilizing bead blasting, ice blasting, and solvent cleaning to ensure a professional finish.
• Safety & Collaboration: Adhere to strict safety standards while working independently or as part of a high-performing team to hit mutual project goals.

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with AC/DC motors, gearboxes, pumps, or similar rotating industrial equipment.
• Proven ability to read and interpret precision measuring instruments and technical blueprints.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose mechanical failures in a fast-paced, continuous-improvement environment.
• Strong customer-facing communication skills with the ability to convey technical findings professionally.
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record; willing to work flexible hours, overtime, and weekends as needed for on-call field service.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PdMA testing or Level I Vibration Analysis.

$28.00 – $42.00 per hour
