Field Service Technician

About the role

The Service Technician will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and repairing games and associated systems when malfunctions occur. They will also perform preventive maintenance on all machines to ensure they are functioning accurately. The role requires daily travel throughout a designated territory in and around Richmond, VA.

Responsibilities

• Understand and embody the company’s Mission, Vision, and Values, acting as an ambassador for these principles.
• Travel to locations performing various functions and tasks.
• Perform basic troubleshooting techniques on the main components of a cabinet (e.g., bill acceptors, printers, monitors, logic box).
• Replace broken parts (e.g., bill acceptors, printers, monitors, logic box).
• Operate hand tools, soldering equipment, electrical test equipment, and other tools as needed.
• Troubleshoot point-of-sale and/or server issues (e.g., no internet connection, IP address conflicts, install a printer and set as default).
• Frequently move machines weighing in excess of 400 pounds.
• Perform all preventive maintenance on each type of device.
• Properly complete work orders to record repairs and service.
• Set up and configure routers for locations.
• Properly wire a location to avoid loops.
• Assign static IP addresses to game terminals, routers, servers, and POS systems.
• Provide exceptional service to guests and employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Knowledge, skill, and/or ability to troubleshoot and repair gaming equipment.
