Field Service Technician

About the role

Fives DyAG Corp is seeking a Field Service Technician in the Saginaw, MI area. We are looking for strong machine based knowledge and electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills. The right candidate will have a positive attitude and be able to present themselves in a professional manner, communicating confidently with customers and be a team player who works well with other employees. We need an individual who is self-motivated, organized and good at managing their time well.

Responsibilities

• Routine and emergency service
• Advanced troubleshooting
• Installation of machinery
• Training of customers
• Some machine assembly work

Requirements

• Up to 75% potential travel throughout North America and on rare occasions internationally (most trips 3‑5 days)
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and co‑workers
• Committed to quality work and detail‑oriented excellence
• Strong decision making skills
• Prior millwright experience
• Able to start up and commission new machines and perform test runs with the customer
• A proven history of strong mechanical experience
• Ability to complete service and expense reports and manage administrative tasks
• Initiative and drive to grow within the company
• Capable of contributing new ideas, designs and methods
• Ability to read mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics
• PLC, machine control, and ladder logic experience is ideal
