Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site customer support for climate control product installation, planned maintenance, repair, and service training.
  • Complete required service reports and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate field service activities with customers and local Rittal sales personnel.
  • Deliver telephone-based technical support to customers and service partners.
  • Promote service contracts through customer engagement and communication.
  • Understand customer requirements and recommend cost-effective Rittal solutions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to travel and work independently in customer-facing environments.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, including use of meters and diagnostic tools.
  • Ability to lift up to 80 pounds occasionally and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
  • Comfortable working with hand tools, power tools, and computers for extended periods.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with customers and internal teams.
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and manage multiple assignments.
  • Willingness to wear required PPE and follow safety protocols in designated areas.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in air conditioner repair; EPA certification for refrigerant recovery and servicing of CFC-based units required.
  • Experience with industrial recirculating chillers preferred.
  • Prior field service experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Familiarity with robotic systems (Fanuc, Motoman, ABB, Kuka) and PLC platforms (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi) is beneficial.
