Field Service Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Install, commission equipment ensuring reliability and high customer satisfaction.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on all EAM equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems using test equipment and hand tools.
• Develop and execute plans to resolve issues and provide clear explanations in service reports.
• Communicate daily with area service managers to develop schedules and travel itineraries.
• Work independently and with a sense of urgency to provide top-tier customer service.

Requirements

• Advanced understanding of machines and their systems, including pneumatic, hydraulic, bearings, levers, channels, pulleys, cams, and camshafts.
• Basic experience with control systems using Allen Bradley, Siemens, and B&R PLCs.
• Electromechanical experience with conveyance systems, understanding of sensors, electric motors, and their interaction.
• Ability to use a multimeter, perform point-to-point testing, read electrical schematics, and trace circuits.
• Proficiency in using calipers and micrometers.
• Able to work independently and take initiative.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including web-based service reporting, video conferencing, and face-to-face interactions.
• Able to travel extensively within the U.S. (80% of the time).
