EAM-Mosca Corp., a market leader in end-of-line automated packaging machinery and consumable strapping solutions, seeks a driven Field Service Technician for the New York region.

Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, and maintain field equipment to ensure reliability and high customer satisfaction.
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance, emergency repairs on all EAM equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems using systematic thinking, test equipment, and hand tools to identify faults and develop plans for resolution.
  • Collaborate with Mosca Engineering to deliver the highest level of customer service.
  • Generate detailed service reports explaining the work performed, parts used, and follow-up actions required.
  • Communicate with area service managers to develop schedules and travel itineraries that meet customer needs and allow ample time for work.
  • Work with urgency but maintain composure under pressure to ensure exceptional customer service.

Requirements

  • Advanced understanding of machines and their systems, including pneumatic, hydraulic, bearings, levers, channels, pulleys, cams, and camshafts.
  • Basic experience with control systems using Allen Bradley, Siemens, and B&R PLCs.
  • Electromechanical experience with conveyance systems, understanding of sensors, electric motors, and their interactions.
  • Able to use a multimeter, perform point-to-point testing, read electrical schematics, and trace circuits.
  • Able to use and read calipers and micrometers.
  • Able to work independently and take initiative.
  • Able to communicate clearly and professionally through various media: web-based service reporting, video conferencing, and face-to-face interactions.
  • Able to travel extensively within the U.S. (80%) on a Monday through Friday schedule.
  • In-house training with continuous on-the-job field training with senior field staff.
  • Company-provided vehicle, corporate expense account, credit card, company laptop, and cell phone.
  • Required personal safety equipment, company logoed clothing, all necessary parts inventory, and company-supplied tools.
  • Minimum 3 years of field or plant equipment maintenance experience.
  • Corrugated industry experience a plus.
  • Mechanical understanding of strapping machines, preferred with Mosca experience.
  • High school diploma.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Solid mechanical and electrical background.
  • PLC experience preferred.
  • Associates degree a plus.
