Field Service Technician

dormakaba is seeking a Field Service Technician based in Dallas, TX. The Field Service Technician is responsible for the installation and service of various doors, equipment, and control devices. This position will also perform preventative maintenance on automatic doors and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of automatic sliding door systems at customer locations
• Communicate with sales and service management about customer needs and sales opportunities
• Maintain accurate project and/or service data through diligent and timely use of all documentation and technical data
• Travel to customer sites throughout the assigned territory, including day trips of up to 10 hours one way and occasional overnight travel for up to one week at a time, with per diem provided for overnight assignments

Requirements

• Valid current driver’s license
• Physical requirements, including the ability to lift at least 50 pounds, stand, stoop, crawl, twist, bend, push, pull, climb, and work overhead
• Ability to use a variety of hand tools and power tools to perform installation, maintenance, and repair work

Qualifications

• AAADM certification
• 1+ years’ experience with automatic door installation/maintenance, or relevant experience in similar industry

Pay

Base Salary $20/hr. - $40/hr. (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

Schedule

Travel to customer sites includes day trips of up to 10 hours one way and occasional overnight travel for up to one week at a time, with per diem provided for overnight assignments.
