Field Service Technician

About the Role

To protect the planet – that’s our mission at DESOTEC. From air, soil, and gas to water and other liquids, we purify through sustainable, mobile filter solutions based on activated carbon. Through a smart rental model, our filters are distributed to production companies all over the US. When the carbon inside the filters is saturated, we retrieve it for reactivation, unburdening our customers of administrative, logistical, and ecological consequences. This allows them to focus 100% on sustainable production.

Responsibilities

• Execute carbon exchanges at customer sites using slurry tankers, operating tankers, air compressors, customer equipment, and man lifts as needed.
• Transport the Hurricane vacuum unit to and from customer sites with a truck, remove spent carbon from customer vessels, and refill with fresh carbon using forklifts.
• Operate mobile filter hydraulic trailers at customer sites to exchange spent filters with fresh ones.
• Assist with loading and unloading filters and tankers at the Darlington Hub.

Skill Requirements

• Active Driver’s License.
• Ability to perform physical functions per job requirements.
• Solution-oriented mindset.
• Proficiency with mechanical tools and equipment.

Beneficial Qualities

• 2 years of Field Service experience.
• Hazardous Materials Endorsement.
• Dry bulk experience.
• HAZWOPER 40 certification.
• Industrial Vacuum Experience.
• CDL (Desotec covers the cost of obtaining a CDL-A license with a 12-month commitment and promotes to Field Service Technician-C upon completion).
