Field Service Technician

About the role

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Crown and all other makes of lift trucks. Perform all assigned planned maintenance on customer lift trucks. Maintain a service van and its inventory. Process paperwork after completion of each job.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair lift trucks of various makes
• Perform planned maintenance on customer lift trucks
• Maintain service van and inventory
• Complete and process job-related paperwork

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and ability to safely operate lift trucks

Qualifications

• Less than 2 years of related experience
• Good mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Knowledge of electrical/electronic systems, hydraulics, and internal combustion engines
• Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong customer care skills
• Familiarity with common hand tools, electrical/air tools, torch, arc welder, and testing equipment
• Ability to read and understand service manuals, plan, and follow through on tasks

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical degree
• Previous lift truck repair experience
• Welding experience
• Knowledge of various types of testing equipment
• Industry-related training
