This position reports to the Area Manager of Security Field Service and covers Fort Lauderdale Airport and surrounding areas.

The Field Service Technician delivers exceptional customer service by diagnosing and resolving technical issues, enhancing customer satisfaction and retention. This role involves electronic and mechanical repairs, documenting service reports, and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose errors, technical problems, and determine proper solutions.
- Apply good electronic and mechanical repair troubleshooting methodology and maintain technical product knowledge.
- Document and produce timely, detailed service reports.
- Exceed company and customer requirements while building positive relationships.
- Respond to customer needs and ensure all tools and calibrated equipment are properly maintained.
- Meet daily service needs at assigned sites and locations.
- Plan and perform repairs and preventative maintenance independently in the field.
- Schedule work based on field needs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in troubleshooting and repair.
- Exceptional time management skills and ability to complete small field projects.
- Technically savvy; innovative, quick to learn, and adapt to new technology.
- Professional demeanor and customer-focused approach.
- Demonstrated professional written and oral communication skills for detailed reports and customer interactions.
- Flexible and open to a fluid schedule and working environment.
- Must pass a criminal background check, drug test, pre-employment physical, and credit check.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform essential physical functions of the job.
- Must obtain and maintain an Airport ID Badge in compliance with the Airport Security Plan and TSA regulations, including public trust security clearance (eApp) and authorization to handle Sensitive Security Information (SSI).
- Valid driver's license and dependable transportation; ability to travel up to 10% of the time domestically and internationally (requires Real ID and Passport).
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency (green card) required due to contractual obligations.
- Ability to work overtime and variable hours as required by business needs.
