About the role

The Field Service Engineer provides technical service support for Comecer equipment to North American customers, focusing on mechanical and electrical aspects of Comecer systems. This role supports Radiopharma, Pharma, and Cell & Gene Therapy (ATMP) projects, including:

  • Radiopharma: shielded hot cells, automation, synthesis and dispensing modules, LAF shielded isolators, sterility testing isolators, VPHP generators, solid target processing systems, dose calibrators, and VPHP sterilization modules.
  • Pharma: aseptic handling and filling of liquid and powder APIs, dispensing custom R&D isolators, potent API processing isolators (PAPI), modular sterility testing isolators (MSTI), ATEX isolators, Baby Phill small batch vial filling, aseptic filling lines, fully automated combination product systems, Speedy Glove™, SuperTrak™, and Pharma Flow Fillers.
  • Cell & Gene Therapy (ATMP): modular cell culture isolator (MCCI), FlexyCult™ incubation system, and ValueCell Fill.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Comecer equipment at customer sites in the U.S. and Canada.
  • Provide remote technical support via telephone and online (Help Desk level 1 & 2).
  • Use internal FUSION software to create and track service tickets, work reports, and documentation.
  • Diagnose and address equipment problems promptly and explain repairs to customers.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, including filter replacement, calibrations, and leak tests.
  • Ship and receive customer orders, stock shipments, and installation equipment.
  • Order and track spare parts and consumables inventory, adjusting stock proactively.
  • Organize and archive user manuals, spare parts lists, and technical documentation.
  • Assist in negotiating maintenance packages, including service contracts and spare parts sets.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, vendors, and customers.
  • Seek opportunities to expand networks and promote Comecer and ATS brands.
  • Pursue ongoing technical and product training.

Requirements

  • Five-year Industrial Technical diploma with Mechanical/Electrical emphasis or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical faults on industrial equipment.
  • Strong understanding of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical components, including reading drawings.
  • Experience with automation systems and working in multi-disciplined environments under pressure.
  • Customer service experience resolving technical problems.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with experience in root cause analysis and problem-solving.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time-management skills; fluent in English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Eligible for domestic and international travel within 30 days of hire and legally able to operate a vehicle.

Working Conditions

  • May require standing, walking, pushing, pulling, reaching overhead, and bending.
  • Normal visual acuity for reading instructions and computer screens.
  • Normal hearing ability for understanding verbal instructions.
  • Office environment with occasional exposure to high noise levels or physical hazards at customer sites.
  • Capable of wearing appropriate PPE.
