Field Service Technician

About the role

As a Field Service Technician with Burwell, you’ll be on the road each day, clocking in from your company-provided service vehicle and heading to customer sites across Miami, FL and surrounding areas. You’ll service and repair forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, boom lifts, and other warehouse vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, boom lifts, and other warehouse vehicles
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, LP/diesel engine, and electrical system issues
• Use diagnostic tools such as multimeters and hydraulic gauges to pinpoint and fix problems
• Perform preventative maintenance to keep customer equipment running smoothly
• Service multiple brands including Hyundai, Bobcat, Clark, Genie, JLG, and Skyjack
• Participate in manufacturer-certified training to stay up to date on equipment and repair techniques
• Promote service offerings like maintenance programs, inspections, and parts
• Inspect and maintain your service vehicle, tools, and inventory for safety and readiness
• Support and mentor junior techs when needed

Requirements

• Prior experience in forklift, heavy equipment, diesel, or automotive repair
• A strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems
• Familiarity with diagnostic software and tools
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. occasionally and meet the physical demands of the job
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Willingness to travel within the assigned service territory
