About the role
As a Field Service Technician, you will play a critical role in delivering top-tier service to our customers by providing expert preventive maintenance, repairs, and system upgrades. This position requires Monday–Friday overnight travel within a designated service radius of approximately 150–250 miles, ensuring the security and functionality of our systems nationwide.
Responsibilities
- Conduct preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and system upgrades at customer sites, following established standard operating procedures to ensure optimal system performance.
- Assist the AMAROK Install Department with site planning, jurisdictional compliance, inspections, and system commissioning after construction is completed.
- Organize and prioritize daily service calls and route, ensuring timely and high-quality completion of maintenance and repair work.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with customers by delivering outstanding service, training, and support.
- Provide assistance to other Field Service Technicians as needed, fostering a culture of teamwork and knowledge sharing.
- Drive safely while following all local, state, and federal traffic laws to reach service locations efficiently.
- Monitor daily inventory levels, accurately complete service reports, and submit documentation within required deadlines.
- Track and submit expense reports in compliance with company policies.
Requirements
- Must be available to travel Monday–Friday weekly.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- At least 2+ years of hands-on experience troubleshooting and installing systems (experience with access control systems and/or fire alarms is a plus).
- OSHA certification and/or familiarity with OSHA compliance is strongly preferred.
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy objects as needed & safely climb a ladder up to 30 ft.
- Ability to operate various forms of power equipment such as: aerial lifts, concrete saws, jack hammers, augers, mixers, etc.
- Strong ability to analyze and troubleshoot system issues effectively.
- Basic Math Skills – Necessary for measuring, calculating, and troubleshooting system configurations.
Pay
Approximate Year End Earnings: $70,000 – $90,000 (inclusive of base pay and average overtime). Hourly compensation range is $30.00 – $33.00 per hour determined by experience, skill set, travel requirements, and geographical location.
