Responsibilities
- Perform startups, equipment inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance service on all Aerzen products at customer sites
- Represent Aerzen in a professional and courteous manner following all safety requirements
- Install, configure, calibrate, and maintain control, measurement, and indicating instrumentation (pneumatic, analog, and digital)
- Install and terminate electrical, pneumatic, and fluid connections
- Understand controls narratives and analyze/troubleshoot process application-related issues
- Analyze and correct communication issues, including TCP/IP networks and RS-485 communications
- Perform repairs and assembly on Aerzen products; disassemble, assess damage, and evaluate failures
- Diagnose problems by evaluating material condition and customer input; offer machine-based recommendations and identify root causes of failures
- Utilize defined procedures and standard rebuild kits
- Read, understand, and use equipment diagrams, checklists, engineering drawings, and process documentation
- Communicate with customers to discuss job requirements, provide recommendations, address concerns, and give status updates
- Evaluate customer future needs and communicate information through appropriate channels
- Assist engineering in plant design, modifications, and hazard analysis
- Plan and schedule travel efficiently using the Concur booking tool
- Complete job-related service reports, expense reports, and forms in a timely manner
- Collect data and create commissioning graphs using company software
- Complete written repair reports documenting cause of failure, work performed, materials consumed, and equipment condition
- Conduct customer training on Aerzen products when onsite
- Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
- Participate in departmental initiatives such as inventory counts, shop organization, and clean-up
Requirements
- Associate’s degree (2 years) in electronics technology or equivalent experience
- Over 4 years of field service and repair experience in rotating equipment
- Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office, and internet applications
- Experience with TCP/IP networks and RS-485 communications
- Allen Bradley PLC experience preferred
- Excellent planning, prioritization, organization, and execution skills
- High attention to detail and ability to analyze large amounts of data
- Strong analytical and logical problem-solving skills
- RS Logix 5000 experience preferred
- PLC or similar ladder-logic programming experience desired
- Ability to interpret process flow, control wiring, piping, and instrumentation diagrams
- Welding (brazing, cutting, welding, plasma) a plus
- Strong customer focus, leadership, and change-management skills
- High integrity and compliance mindset
- Ability to travel more than 50% of the time (Monday–Friday with weekends back at home)
Pay
$35.00 - $42.00 hourly
