About the Role

We are seeking a Field Service Technician (DMST) to join our dynamic Customer Service team in the Grand Rapids, MI metro area. In this role, you will deliver an exceptional customer experience while servicing LG products in customers' homes. Our technicians diagnose and repair all major appliances, TVs, and A/C units, manage inventory, and perform administrative tasks. As the face of LG, you will represent the company with professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to customers' locations to perform maintenance and repair of LG equipment, ensuring top product performance.
  • Use all safety equipment (PPE), vehicle, and diagnostic tools provided by LG.
  • Conduct technical diagnosis and perform specialized repairs on electronics and home appliances.
  • Diagnose problems, assess the extent of issues, document findings, and decide on repairs or part replacements.
  • Process paperwork and perform data entry accurately upon completion of each job.
  • Pre-screen next-day service calls by gathering necessary information to help diagnose problems before arriving at the customer's home.
  • Meet or exceed company metrics, including customer satisfaction, first-time fix rate, revisits, parts management, and overtime percentages.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a technical role (appliance repair preferred).
  • Experience repairing major appliances (refrigeration/sealed systems, cooking, cleaning products).
  • Proficiency in using tools and diagnostic test equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and document product/system issues.
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing.
  • Ability to obtain appropriate EPA Certification.
  • Meet physical requirements, including continuous bending and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Pay

Recruiting range: $25.25—$29.75 USD per hour.
