About the role
The Field Services Technician 1 will perform preventive maintenance of Gaumard advanced patient simulators, diagnose, and repair said simulators using light hand tools or electronics equipment. They will also install and test new simulators and support equipment, and install and update Gaumard software.
Responsibilities
- Visits hospitals, universities, medical centers, etc., to perform preventive maintenance as well as inspect, diagnose, and repair Gaumard’s Advanced Patient simulators using light hand tools or electronics equipment.
- Follow schematics, drawings, diagrams, samples; or written/verbal instructions in order to troubleshoot and/or repair simulators during the course of a single visit.
- Actively request support and verification of process from Field Services Technical Supervisor in the trouble shooting, repair, and installation of a simulator(s) and its support equipment.
- Participate in group communications with other Field Services Team members.
- Specialize in trouble shooting and repair of company’s advanced technology product line.
- Completes repairs and verifies functionality in both a neat and timely fashion.
- Completes required administrative duties in a timely manner.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and rules.
- Communicate with Field Services Manager routinely.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Requires an associate degree in a technical or medical area or equivalent experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Ability to work extended hours (after 5:00 p.m. and/or weekends) to complete tasks or projects.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems in a constantly changing environment.
- Self-starter with ability to perform under pressure.
- Experience with workstation software and hardware installation, upgrades, and repairs.
- Experienced with: Windows 8/10/11, MS NT Server, MS SQL, MS Exchange, MS Outlook, MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communications and time management skills.
- Previous working knowledge of patient simulator diagnostics and repair a plus.
- Ability to travel 75+%.
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
