Field Service Tech III
Position Summary
A senior-level role where you will take on significant responsibility for overseeing major component exchanges and repairs, requiring a deep understanding of wind turbine systems and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
Responsibilities
- Lead major component exchanges, including high-level mechanical and electrical systems, such as gearboxes, generators, and other critical components.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics on wind turbines.
- Ensure safety protocols are strictly followed, providing leadership on jobsites.
- Supervise and train junior technicians (Field Service Technicians I and II) and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Review and ensure that all service work is completed with efficiency and precision.
- Prepare and review detailed service reports, including assessments of turbine health and parts performance.
- Work closely with project managers to ensure service schedules and timelines are met.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent; advanced technical certifications or degree in renewable energy or wind turbine technology preferred
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with wind turbine maintenance, repairs, and component exchange
- Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required:
- Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward the company’s Zero Injury principles
- Expertise in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Proven ability to lead teams and mentor technicians
- Commitment to proactive safety culture, with a focus on zero-harm practices
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with a focus on service excellence

Qualifications
- Education And Work Experience Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Advanced technical certifications or degree in renewable energy or wind turbine technology preferred
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with wind turbine maintenance, repairs, and component exchange
