Field Service Tech

About the role

The Field Service Technician provides outstanding customer service while troubleshooting and servicing WillScot’s buildings in the field in a timely, cost‑efficient manner. Technicians are the face of WillScot to clients, delivering technical knowledge, professionalism, and a high level of service.

Responsibilities

• Conduct service calls related to HVAC, plumbing, and carpentry within the assigned branch territory.
• Explain repairs and services to customers courteously, both over the phone and in‑person.
• Maintain a safe working environment and practice safe habits, complying with client safety standards on‑site.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Carpentry knowledge and experience required.
• Electrical, plumbing, and welding experience is helpful.
• General contractor’s license preferred.
• Current valid driver’s license and good driving record required.
• If performing HVAC duties: knowledge and experience with HVAC equipment and appliances, and appropriate HVAC licenses as required by law.

Skills

• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with customers, salespeople, contractors, shop personnel, and WillScot employees.

Pay

Base Wage Range: $28.40 – $36.95. Individual rates are based on factors such as degrees or certifications, skill level, years of experience, and may include overtime, bonus, or commission.
