Field Service Supervisor

About the Role

Hepaco, a Clean Harbors company in Ladson, SC, is seeking a Field Service Supervisor to plan, lead, organize, and coordinate the daily operations of the service line crew. This role includes ensuring proper equipment operation, driving operational efficiencies at the work site, and maintaining accurate and timely documentation. The position requires travel, on-call availability, and emergency response. All new hires must attend a two-week training academy.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes.
• Read work orders and ensure all required equipment is available and operational before starting jobs.
• Inspect equipment and work areas to identify and correct deficiencies that may cause accidents, injuries, or lost productivity.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment as needed.
• Complete and submit all necessary paperwork, including service receipts.
• Train Technicians I and II in equipment operation and service line processes.
• Operate service line equipment in accordance with safety procedures.
• Provide industrial services using appropriate techniques, including manual work, in compliance with regulations.
• Maintain equipment and perform maintenance using supplied breathing air and personal protective equipment.
• Ensure good housekeeping and cleanliness in cleaning areas.
• Lead safety meetings and enforce HPC safety policies.
• Meet progress deadlines and efficiently utilize resources.
• Instruct, provide feedback, and direct crew members to complete work according to client requirements and company policies.
• Enforce company employee policies and remove employees from jobs when necessary.
• Follow all local, state, and federal compliance regulations.
• Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT and other regulatory requirements.
• Observe company environmental, health, and safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis every other week.

Qualifications

• Experience in environmental field service operations, construction, manufacturing, or a similar industry.
• Ability to travel overnight up to 2-4 nights per month.
• Ability to be on-call for emergency response situations.
• Ability to pull a trailer via pick-up truck preferred.
• Ability to interface with clients and management.
• Ability to manage project-related vendors and job-related documentation.
• Ability to work in confined spaces for periods of time.
• Valid Driver’s license.
• Ability to perform physical functions per job requirements.
• Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in industrial emergency response, Hazmat clean-up, and confined space entry.
• Experience supervising/working in confined spaces.
