Responsibilities
- Performs preventive maintenance inspections, installation support, testing, calibration, troubleshooting and maintenance on multiple high-end specialty imaging modalities (MRI, CT, Cath Lab, X-ray, Nuc-med) and on low end modalities (Ultrasound, injectors) as needed.
- Ensures compliance with changes in regulations, policies and procedures set by national and state regulatory bodies.
- Responsible to ensure that all scheduled work is accomplished on time, customer needs are met, and the day-to-day operations impacting revenue are communicated as needed and appropriate resources are utilized to minimize any service interruptions.
- Has service support scheduling and vendor management responsibility.
- Contributes to department improvement and collaborates and maintains positive relationships with customers.
- Maintains a department "culture" that is patient-focused and participates in teamwork, quality, integrity and professional growth upholding the Prime Healthcare Mission and Vision at all times.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in biomedical/electrical engineering technology, or equivalent military education with minimum 15 years’ experience servicing diagnostic imaging equipment.
- Formal certification of training (OEM or third-party training center) in the medium to high-end imaging modalities.
- Working knowledge of Networking, PACS and DICOM standards.
- Knowledge of associated tools and test equipment.
- Demonstrate mechanical diagnostic troubleshooting and repair skills in a timely manner.
- Willingness to cross-train other team members.
- Familiar with the Healthcare Industry, understanding roles in various departments and users.
- Support policies and procedures of Prime Healthcare.
- Professional appearance and behavior.
- Communicate effectively, share knowledge, proactively complete tasks, and cooperate in a team environment.
- Maintain a valid DL with good driving record.
