Field Service Specialist

Metrohm USA delivers technical solutions, trusted partnerships, and tangible results. As the North American division of Metrohm AG (Herisau, Switzerland), a global leader in high‑precision laboratory instruments and solutions for chemical analysis, we are seeking a Field Service Specialist to support customers across parts of Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan. The position is based in the Greater Chicago area and involves remote‑field work with frequent travel within the assigned territory and occasional travel outside the territory to support regional customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform installations, repairs, calibrations, certifications, preventive maintenance, and refresher training for benchtop analytical systems.
• Support customers both on‑site and remotely (via phone, email, Teams).
• Manage a dynamic schedule across the territory.
• Build strong customer relationships through expert service and communication.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Support, and Product teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.

Requirements

• BS/BA in Chemistry or a closely related scientific discipline.
• 2–4 years of hands‑on experience repairing laboratory instrumentation.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Strong time management and the ability to work independently.
