Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to gather information and compare pricing.
- Cook up the installation, repair, and replacement of assigned systems, including fire, security, key, lock, and door systems.
- Diagnose causes of problems and failures in fire, safety, and security systems and identify repair or replacement needs.
- Communicate with personnel regarding procedures and the status of work orders.
- Maintain accurate files and records related to field service activities.
- Participate in meetings, workshops, training, and seminars as assigned.
- Perform skilled/general maintenance and other work as directed by a supervisor.
- Prepare written materials, including repair status reports and activity logs.
- Request equipment and supplies to maintain inventory and ensure materials are available for installations and repairs.
- Respond to emergency situations during and after regular working hours to address immediate safety concerns.
- Transport tools, equipment, and supplies to job sites as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Job-related experience within a specialized field is required.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of safety practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of methods and materials used to program, install, maintain, and service energy control systems.
- Knowledge of applicable codes, policies, regulations, and laws.
- Ability to perform multiple technical tasks and adapt to changing job conditions.
- Ability to operate equipment used in the maintenance and repair of energy systems.
- Ability to plan and manage projects.
- Ability to prepare and maintain accurate records.
- Ability to use standard office equipment and applicable software.
- Ability to schedule activities and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines and schedules.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a variety of individuals and groups.
