Job Summary
Seeking a Temporary Field Service Representative (FSR) to support industrial water plant operations. This role focuses on hands-on preventative maintenance, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, and chemical process support across customer sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Equipment Maintenance & Repair: Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on valves, blowers, ejectors, air compressors, process pumps, and instrumentation.
- Water Chemistry & Operations: Work with analytical instrumentation, calibrated tools, and aggressive chemicals (acids and bases) following strict environmental and safety standards.
- Documentation & Client Relations: Track maintenance tasks, utilize word processing and spreadsheets, and coordinate with project teams and client personnel.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting; ability to use standard hand/calibrated tools.
- Core Competencies: Strong attention to detail, basic water chemistry knowledge, solid communication skills, and self-motivation.
- Software: Basic computer proficiency (spreadsheets, word processing, basic databases).
Skillset Needed
- Technical Skills
- General knowledge of water chemistry principles
- Proficiency with ordinary hand tools and specialized equipment
- Experience with safe handling of chemically aggressive fluids (acids, bases)
- Testing: turbidity, chlorine, CO2, SDI
- Computer & Administrative Skills
- Spreadsheet creation and management
- Create and maintain detailed site paperwork and technical summaries
- General computer literacy, familiarity with the Google platform
- Physical Abilities
- Physical coordination sufficient for equipment servicing
- Ability to operate and maintain a company vehicle
- Forklift experience a plus

Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Industrial Setting: Primarily outdoor industrial environment around machinery, electrical panels, and chemical processes.
- Physical Agility: Regular reaching (above/below shoulder height), standing, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, and navigating cramped spaces or ladders.
- Lifting: Regularly lift up to 30 lbs; frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
